Proclamation - Ray Humphries, Utilities Supervisor

WHEREAS, Ray Humphries, a 1984 graduate of Frisco High School, was hired by the City of Frisco on March 26,1990; and

WHEREAS, Ray Humphries began his service to our citizens in the Public Works Department in the Sanitation Division as a maintenance worker. He transferred from the Sanitation Division to the Utilities Division and worked his way to Crew Leader in 1993. He was promoted to Utilities Supervisor in 1996. He has earned licensing from TCEQ for Water and Waste Water; and

WHEREAS, Ray Humphries has a key role in the decisions made to keep the Utilities Department operating on a daily basis. He also has a strong influence on the future construction and design of our utility system; and

WHEREAS, Ray Humphries also known as “Ray Boy” by his co-workers has been described as someone who goes the extra mile to make sure new employees are properly trained on water tapping, and various machinery in the department.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Maher Maso, Mayor of the City of Frisco, on behalf of the City Council and the Citizens of Frisco, do hereby proclaim March 2nd, 2010 as

“RAY HUMPHRIES DAY”

And encourage all to congratulate Ray on his 20 years of service faithfully rendered to the City of Frisco and its Citizens and thank him for his dedication to our community.
