Proclamation - Kyle Smith, Eagle Scout

WHEREAS, Kyle Smith, son of John and Suzanne Smith and brother of Blake and Kaitlyn has been a resident of Frisco, Texas, since birth; and

WHEREAS, Kyle Smith is a senior at Wakeland High School where he was a member of the Wakeland Band. After graduation in June, he will attend Texas Tech University where he will major in Engineering; and

WHEREAS, Kyle Smith has been a member of the Boy Scouts of America since ¬¬¬second grade where he is a member of Troop 51. He participated in Philmont which is an 11 day 60 mile backpacking trip. He was voted crew leader by his troop to be their scout leader for the 8 scouts from his troop and is a member of the Order of the Arrow which is the honor society for boy scouts; and

WHEREAS, At a Court of Honor to be held in April, Kyle will be presented with the rank of Eagle Scout, a rank obtained by only four percent of all U.S. Scouts, having successfully completed 27 merit badges and an Eagle service project wherein he restored the train cart that is on display outside the Frisco Train Depot at Heritage Village.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Maher Maso, Mayor of the City of Frisco, Texas, do hereby proclaim February 16th, 2010, as

“KYLE SMITH DAY”

In and throughout the City of Frisco, and urge all Citizens to congratulate him for his dedication and allegiance to his community and to the Boy Scouts of America.
