As part of TxDOT’s widening project, traffic will be shifted into different lanes along Preston Road and on some side streets on Tuesday, January 12. Specifically, TxDOT has constructed some temporary lanes along the roadways and will shift traffic over so that existing pavement can be removed and construction can begin on the other side of the roadway. Traffic will remain in this configuration for several months.
• Traffic will be shifted to the east on Preston Road between Fisher Road and Eldorado Parkway;
• Traffic will be shifted to the north on Panther Creek Parkway for one block east of Preston Road;
• Traffic will be shifted to the south on Rockhill Road for one block east of Preston Road; and
• Traffic will be shifted to the east on the northbound exit ramp from Preston Road to US 380.
Motorists are urged to use caution in the area as people become accustomed to the new traffic pattern.
