Phone service disrupted

PHONE SERVICE DISRUPTED IN NEIGHBORHOOD FOLLOWING OVERNIGHT FIRE; POLICE STEP UP PATROLS FOR EMERGENCIES

(January 8, 2010) Some Frisco residents are without phone service after a large telephone 'box' was damaged by fire overnight. As a result, police
are stepping up patrols in the Panther Creek Estates neighborhood to respond to emergencies for those without cell phones.

Firefighters received the call at approximately 2 a.m. regarding a fire at the telephone box located near the intersection of Rosebud Lane and LaGrange. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

At this time, the number of homes without phone service is unknown.
Panther Creek Estates spans Eldorado north to Panther Creek and from Hillcrest east to Coit Rd.

AT & T repair crews have been contacted. At this time, it is not known how long it will take to restore service.
