FRISCO, November 23, 2009 - Name a franchise and be an ALL STAR! NBA D-League Frisco has joined forces with Dave & Buster's, Frisco Miracle League, and the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County to host the brand new franchise's official name launch party on Wednesday, November 25 at the Dave & Buster's Stonebriar Mall. The party will begin at 7 p.m., as the Mavericks take on the Houston Rockets at 7:30 pm.

A variety of NBA D-League Frisco personnel will be there, including Owner Donnie Nelson, Head Coach Nancy Lieberman, President of Basketball Operations Spud Webb, General Manager Del Harris, as well as Frisco Mayor Maher Maso. Officials from the Frisco Miracle League ( www.friscomiracleleague.org/) as well as the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County ( www.bgccc.org/) will also be present.

Frisco Miracle League and the Boys and Girls Club will each have a silent auction to benefit their respective causes. NBA D-League Frisco will have a variety of prizes and raffle items available for those at the party. All attendees will also have the opportunity to submit their favorite team name for the Frisco D-League team, with the winner receiving two front-row season tickets and a "NBA All-Star Backstage Pass Experience". The event is open to all ages and families are encouraged to come enjoy the atmosphere.

"There's nothing more important to us than our fans, and THEY will be the ones to name to this franchise," Nelson said. "Somewhere out there there's someone with the Willy Wonka golden ticket and we're going to find them. The next best thing to winning the chocolate factory is courtside seats. plus mom doesn't have to deal with belly aches or pricey dentists!! Dave and Buster's is the perfect family entertainment partner to launch this event. We couldn't be more excited about providing this once in a lifetime experience for our fans. We're proud to be able to share this opportunity with the Frisco Miracle League and the Boys and Girls Club. There's nothing more important than our kids and those organizations are second-to-none in terms of serving our youth."

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, non-perishable food items will also be accepted for donation to the Metrocrest Food Bank.

NBA D-League Frisco is hosting a second watch party on Saturday, November 28 at Dave and Buster's Stonebriar Mall at 6 p.m. as the Mavericks take on LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
