As many of you know, the entire region is studying rail. I first have to say that as long as I have been involved in government, I have never seen our region cooperate at this level and approach issues as a group.
The Rail North Texas Coalition is made up of 109 elected officials and business leaders that encompass a 12-county area. I serve on the board of directors representing Frisco and our region. We are trying to find solutions to expedite rail and improve mobility. This is a very active effort that has wide-spread support.
