Traffic Switch on Lebanon Rd. Starting June 7

(June 6, 2011) Traffic on Lebanon Road will be switched to the other side of the road at Legacy Drive starting at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7.  Traffic on east and westbound Lebanon Road will continue to be limited to one through lane in each direction, but all traffic will be shifted to the north side of the road.  Traffic on Legacy Drive will continue to be limited to one through lane in each direction.   This will allow the southwest quadrant of the intersection to be reconstructed.

Motorists are urged to use caution approaching the intersection of Legacy Drive and Lebanon Road as people become accustomed to the new traffic patterns within the shifted lanes.

This traffic switch is necessary to the intersection reconstruction project at Legacy Drive and Lebanon Road.  As a result, the bump in the intersection will be corrected and additional through lanes and turn lanes will be built.  Once the project is complete, all four directions of the intersection will have two left-turn lanes, three through lanes, and most will have a right-turn lane. For more detailed information about the scheduled completion of each phase of this project, visit the City website at:  http://www.friscotexas.gov/projectsPrograms/Pages/DriveFrisco.aspx
